EnerNex Staff Members Achieve TOGAF® Certification
Knoxville, Tenn., USA, July 16, 2020 – EnerNex, a CESI Company, is pleased to announce that two more of our Smart Grid Consulting team members, Brian Smith and Ben Rankin, have completed TOGAF® 9 Certification. The EnerNex team of certified TOGAF architects can connect the discipline of enterprise architecture (EA) to grid modernization projects. TOGAF, The Open Group Architecture Framework (https://www.opengroup.org/) is a highly-effective, well-established and widely-recognized EA methodology with demonstrable benefits that are being rapidly adopted by many electric utilities, Independent System Operators and other industry entities. The TOGAF methodology defines, aligns and structures technology applications and platforms to meet current and future business needs.

Brian Smith, CISSP, is a Principal Consultant and has over 25 years of experience in the electric utility field with an extensive background in cyber security, utility communications, utility automation systems, integration, networking, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Energy Management Systems (EMS) and tele-protection applications.
Ben Rankin, MCSE, is a Principal Consultant specializing in grid development, use cases, system roadmaps, business processes, enterprise architecture, networks and communications, databases and information security.
