Hannah Mendel is a Consultant on EnerNex’s Smart Grid Engineering team. As a Mechanical Engineer well-versed in project management and problem identification in processes, Hannah works with EnerNex clients to examine and model static and dynamic systems. Hannah has worked with cross-functional teams at utility companies around the world to help provide solutions related to grid modernization technologies and policies such as renewable energy integration, information technology integration, forecasting and planning strategies, cybersecurity requirements, and other related disciplines to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of the power grid.

She has prepared detailed architecture models for Southern California Edison, worked with distribution planners and engineers to optimize energy production and distribution, and effectively communicated the value of technology-based solutions paired with appropriate policies, standards, and regulations for the modern power grid.
